Elastix developers presented a new solution “High Availability” designed to build a fault-tolerant cluster between two servers with Elastix installed. “High Availability” is installed as an addon and does not require deep knowledge of linux administration for its configuration, it is argued that even an unprepared system administrator will be able to configure.

The following operating parameters are stated:
- Switching from the master to the second server for 3-4 seconds.
- Servers should be of similar configuration, virtual solutions are allowed.
- Settings between servers are replicated automatically.
- Only 2 servers can be combined into a cluster (for now, in the future they will increase).
- You can make a second server on a virtual server, which will be quite cheap and there will be no downtime in case of failure.
- Continuous monitoring of replication status between servers and user notifications.
- Easy setup of server roles, in one click the role can be changed.
- There is a function SPLIT-BRAIN, in which you can install the role of a secondary server on both servers, remove the server with corrupted data and restore the connection, after which the cluster will resume operation.
The module is installed via the command line:
yum install elastix-highAvailability
After that, the “High Availability” item will appear in the web interface of the server, enter the activation code, and then enter the parameters of your network and the address of the second server. Then do it all on the second server and the cluster is ready.

And finally: the solution costs $ 200 for each server in the cluster.
