Sync.NET Meeting Announcement # 2

We continue to develop our .NET community, and invite everyone to the second meeting of Sync.NET. Guests are waiting for interesting reports, hot discussions, delicious coffee breaks, the latest news from the world of .NET-development and a lot of vivid impressions.

This time three speakers will make presentations at the mini-conference with relevant reports.

Denis Pavelko, "Windows 10, our first experience"
As soon as a new platform appeared, we wanted to test it and make our own application in order to compare it with Windows 8.1 and understand what possibilities appeared. In the report I will tell:

• What happened as a result of the work on the application.
• What problems are we faced in the process.
• What is RelativePanel and how it will help replace the usual grid when creating user interfaces.
• Changes in the VisualStateManager and the benefits of VisualState.StateTriggers for our application.

Vladimir Belousov, "ASP.NET MVC, asynchrony and multithreading"

• ASP.NET MVC platform features using asynchrony and multithreading.
• The differences between these concepts and recommendations on the choice of a mechanism, depending on the task.
• Applications of asynchronous controllers and async / await syntax when working with lengthy I / O operations
• Use Task Parallel Library to implement multi-threaded work.

Ivan Zaruba, “ASP.NET Core 1.0”

• Overview of ASP.NET Core, its main differences from ASP.NET 4.5.
• New ASP.NET Core project structure, package management and dependency injection.
• Evaluation of the new MVC Core functional: combined controller, Tag Helper, View Component.
• Experience in using MVC Core (MVC 6) and the pitfalls that can be encountered in practice.

On Sync.NET # 2, we are testing a new meeting place - the factory hub. We hope that our meetings here will be held in an even more comfortable and cozy atmosphere.
