The study talks about the financial prospects of the OS development company and those of 16.000 New York IT firms that produce their products on its base.

In 2007, in New York, every dollar Microsoft received from selling Windows Vista would turn out to be 19 dollars in revenue for an “ecosystem” around Microsoft. For the first year of Windows Vista sales, the “ecosystem” in New York sells products and services related to Windows Vista by more than $ 7 billion.
