AMD has introduced the new ATI Radeon HD 4870 graphics card based on the new 55nm RV770 chip, providing performance up to 1 teraflop (1 trillion floating point operations per second).
The novelty contains 512 MB of GDDR5 video memory with a bandwidth of 3.6 Gbit / s and a 256-bit interface. The RV770 processor, under which AMD developed the entire Cinema 2.0 concept, runs at 750 MHz.
