Hello!
On Thursday, March 17 (yes, this is the day after tomorrow!), At 19:00, a meeting of JUG.msk with Andrei Breslav and Dmitry Zhemerov, developers of the Kotlin language, will take place at the office of CROC. Andrei is generally the most important person in Kotlin, leads the development of the language, and Dmitry leads the development of the plug-in to IntelliJ IDEA. So there will be something to discuss, and answers to questions will be firsthand!
The topic of the meeting is the recent and long-awaited release of the Kotlin language. And so the meeting is also called very simple:
')
Andrei Breslav heads the development of the Kotlin language at JetBrains. Previously, he taught at the university and in high school; now instead speaks at various conferences, talking about his project and the fundamental principles underlying the profession of a software developer.
Dmitry Zhemerov has been working at JetBrains since 2003 and managed to participate in the development of many projects, including IntelliJ IDEA, PyCharm, WebStorm and others. Now he is leading a team that makes Kotlin-plugin for IntelliJ IDEA, and also co-writes with Svetlana Isakova about Kotlin.

The meeting will consist of two parts.
In the first, language developers will present three small reports:
Andrei Breslav and Roman Belov. Kotlin: what is it, why and who uses it.Dmitry Zhemerov. Kotlin after 1.0: what we plan and how to influence it.Andrei Breslav. A little bit about compatibility: how Kotlin and Java get along in one project. In the second, the content will depend entirely on your questions, do not miss the opportunity to get answers firsthand.
