We invite you to a round table on the trends of the gaming industry, which we and our colleagues organized in the framework of educational programs on game play based on the HSE. The round table will be held on April 12 in the building of the Higher School of Business Informatics, access to the event is free. More information about the event can be found later in the article.

One of the goals of the round table, we see drawing attention to the gaming industry, its trends and development, as well as, undoubtedly, its future. People who are interested in games and are considering the opportunity to start working in the gaming industry, we want to show that the choice of gamedev in their profession is the right choice. And to the people who have already linked their lives with the gaming industry, our round table will provide useful knowledge of the market and make new acquaintances in the game dev environment.
During the event we will discuss the following questions:
• Prospects for the development of main gaming platforms : PC (social, browser and client online games, single-player projects), mobile devices, VR;
• What genre niches are most interesting for each of the platforms and how to find them;
• Which specialists will be in demand in game development;
• Prospects for monetization models , in particular F2P and its future;
• Should I release my first game on the Asian market;
• And other questions including from the audience.
Speakers at the round table will be:
I will be moderating the round table, Vyacheslav Utochkin, director of educational programs for the gaming industry at VSBI .
Naturally, if you have any questions during the Round Table, we will be happy to answer them.
As a result of the round table, you will form an idea of how the current situation in game devs is, as well as what the industry is waiting for in the future.
