From June to August of the past, 2015, I published 18 articles on
Habré entitled
"The Magic of Tensor Algebra" . The project began as an ambitious attempt in a relatively simple and accessible form to present the theory of tensor calculus with its applications to the practice.
Due to objective reasons, the main one of which is the banal lack of time to support the project, it was suspended indefinitely. It was gratifying that some of the work was done, the articles remained in the community and could be useful for their existence.

But trouble came from where it was not expected.
Because of the incomprehensible behavior of the resource on which the formulas from the first articles were rendered, a huge number of formulas turned into a “pumpkin” and stopped displaying. It was a shame, but my hands did not reach to correct the situation, and it’s understandable that this was not a pleasant activity messages from VC that people find my articles and cannot read them because of broken formulas. Such attention to my works made me very happy and set me up to resolve sooner or later to deal with the situation at least in the program "minimum".
Six months later, after stopping the cycle, a little time was found. It was also saved by the fact that in the place of the crippled formulas and in the code of the articles, the title remained, called to display explanatory text when the display of pictures in the browser was turned off. And in these titles was ... LaTeX-code formulas! This made it possible to use the
Math Text Editor , supported by Roman Parpalak (@parpalak) for restoration work. As a result, all articles are
again available in normal form .
In order to insure against accidents, I have created a collection of articles. It contains all articles of the cycle in its original form. I apologize in advance for the quality of rendering. Pdf - there is still no time to translate texts into normal LaTeX. As a backlog for the future book, this compilation is still a LaTeX project, just instead of the code, the
\includepdf{file.pdf}
, including those rendered using the linux-utility
wkhtmltopdf html-sources in the build. I really hope that gradually it will be possible to replace these links with full-fledged high-quality chapters of the book.
Download the collection in pdf format here . I really hope that the project will not stop.
PS: Once again, I want to thank Roman Parpalak for creating and maintaining the
Math Text Editor resource, without which the creation, and especially the restoration of the draft articles would be impossible.
Upd : I had latex sources for the first and second articles. The third article, as a test of strength translated into TeX. For this it took
- convert existing markdown to latex using pandoc
- manually make some edits regarding naming sections
- replace \ [and \] with $ $ in inline formulas and \ begin {equation} \ end {equation} in separate formulas.
- make symbolic links to formulas
I must say the operation is tedious, but I am sure that all this can be automated with “yes” and “gray”
