Someone George W
found a most amusing hole in freshly
breathed Vista. As you know, Microsoft's new OS supports voice control. In case both a microphone and speakers are connected to the computer, it is possible to play the sound so that the OS will perceive it as a command given by the user. Web pages learned to play sound files about 10 years ago, so the rest is a matter of technique.
Of course, algorithmic methods of filtering such feedback exist, and anyone who used voice communication through a computer with speakers knows that they are quite stable. However, in this particular case, these methods have apparently been forgotten, since
Microsoft has confirmed this vulnerability .
It is worth noting that voice control is OFF by default. But it does not require training.
