Microsoft Android emulator cooling beer with IoT and Windows 10 and The Maker Show for those who like to solder

Hello! On this holiday weekend, we decided to share with you some fresh materials that are useful both for work and for organizing your own “crazy pens” mug. :)

Standalone Android emulator from Microsoft

Let's start with “simple” - a year and a half ago we included an emulator for Android in Visual Studio 2015. For those who follow the development of VS, this is not news, but, as our experience shows, many are not up to date. In short, the story is this: x86, Hyper-V, sensor simulation, different versions of Android ... and, - which many do not realize, - it can work without Visual Studio (and generally be installed separately), integrating with Android Studio, Eclipse and other tools supporting ADB.

Above detailed fresh story about working with the current version of the Android emulator.

The second batch of fresh materials came to us from Estonia, where Gunnar Peopman, an ASP.NET/IIS MVP and home brewer, decided it would be good to automate the cooling of the brewed beer.

The presentation includes detailed instructions with code and formulas:

And the third portion of content for today is our new show for developers who are not afraid to work with iron, solder and assemble various designs from electronics and code. Above you will find an intro video series, and below are links to the first three episodes:

Have a great weekend!
