Our response to Chamberlain

The new captain of the Webplanet, Lech Andreev, called the “Company” on Habré “an envious-naughty kindergarten,” I was upset because it wasn’t. I consider it necessary to explain how the section is arranged, so that Lech ceases to emit bile in the direction of Habr.

“Companies” is not a kindergarten, but branding is like that. Companies are “rated” by a formula whose secret I will not disclose, for obvious reasons. The index of the company is influenced by various factors, including the number of people expressing likes and dislikes. The Webplans index was mined for several reasons, here they are: the company has negative karma, so people voted; several people voted for “dislike”, including me, obviously, these people have a rating, so “dislike” also somehow changed the Webplanes index. The same can be said about any other company.

No need to perceive the "Company" as a kind of rating. This is a tool for thinking people. Any registered user can influence the index of the company. Not one particular person, not a jury of representatives of the sponsors, but the crowd that you, Lech, made you the title of my interview.

The presence of Habr next to Yandex and Vedomosti cannot say that Habr is as cool and strong as Vedomosti and Yandex ". Cool it off, it’s not like that. It can be said that Habr is popular among users as well with “Vedomosti” and “Yandex.” Everything. Point. It is the attitude of people, not stock market indices and annual reports.
