Why Novosibirsk?
As many of you know, JUG.ru already has 6 Java conferences already behind - 3 times we held
Joker and
JPoint . At first it was Peter, and from 2014, Moscow.
Our speakers and participants have long told us to do something in Siberia. They say that it’s far and expensive to go to St. Petersburg or Moscow from Siberia, and they want Java hardcore not only in these your capitals. . They say that Novosibirsk is a huge city, there are a lot of javistes in it, there is a strong compiler school in it, and most importantly, there are a lot of people who need a strong Java conference.
At first we responded to this proposal without much enthusiasm. We had a small team (I,
real_ales and
jetliner ) and we didn’t see the strength to make the conference in a city far from us then. And now
look out the window, much has changed. Our team has grown, strengthened and finally matured. At some point, we looked at google analytics on JUG.ru, Joker and JPoint sites and found that in Novosibirsk, our interest in our activities was really quite large: the top 5 cities looked like this: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kiev, Minsk, Novosibirsk. It became clear: you need to make konfu in Novosibirsk!
What are the features of the new conference?
Novosibirsk has already seen Java conferences, and not so long ago. In 2011, the conference
was held in the Akakdemgorodk House of Scientists, and in 2013 it
was held in the center of Novosibirsk in the Hilton.
In both cases, the conference was held in the same room, in both cases were
shurymury and
pjBooms , in both cases, Oracle was one of the main organizers.
But in the Java world, the time of vendor conferences like Sun Tech Days is long past. Java is a technology with a twenty-year background, and now they rule conferences that users do for users. About Java technology, everything new we have long learned from the Internet - news, user cases, reviews, etc. What steers today at conferences?
A
technical hardcore taxis - ways to solve complex problems. Users to users. We traditionally put technical hardcore as the main theme of any of our conferences. JBreak is no exception. Confirmed reports include:
- Tagir Valeev aka lany will tell about what is wrong with the Stream API, and how to fix it ;
- Nikita Lipsky aka pjBooms will tell about how they implemented Java 8 support in Excelsior JET;
- Alexander Matorin from SberTech will talk about how Generics work
- Alexey Zinoviev aka zaleslaw will tell about these your bigdats: Hadoop internal device, tuning JVM for it and monitoring GC;
- Oleg Anastasiev aka m0nstermind will talk about modern distributed systems in general and about Odnoklassniki architecture in particular;

- Dmitry Chuiko from the Oracle performance team will tell about Ahead-of-Time compilation in Java
- Kirill Tolkachev aka tolkkv and Alexander Tarasov aka aatarasoff from Alfa Bank will talk about creating their own Spring Boot Starter.

In addition to the above speakers, we are now in touch with
Alexei Shipilev from Oracle, Spring Master
Yevgeny Borisov , Pivotal / Spring Evangelist
Josh Long , Enterprise Performance guru
Vladimir Sitnikov from NetCracker and several other excellent speakers.
for those to whom it is not enoughSubscribe to JBreak news on the site - the subscription form is located in the lower left corner. We will report on all the news of the conference, including announcements of new reports, in a weekly newsletter.
In addition, we are open to suggestions - as always, any of you who want to make a report can
submit an application , and we will certainly contact you and discuss your idea.
Partners
The conference would have remained a “project on paper” for a long time if it were not for SberTech and Luxoft, which already strongly supported the conference financially, and in the next couple of weeks, I hope, they will also support it with cool speakers;)

So, Siberian javista, remember the date:
