New 2GIS for Android - we begin public testing
New 2GIS for Android went into public testing. To install it, go to the Google Play page or search for the search query “2GIS beta”. Available for devices that work on Android 4.1 and higher.
The current version of the application is still the main one. It is not deleted when installing 2GIS beta and it maintains a page in GP .

Since May, in the "closed" mode, the application tested on 1079 devices 16,000 people. All this time we have worked to make the product public.
We tried to take into account the experience of updating on iOS. We will transfer to the new 2GIS only when we are fully confident that we have eliminated all the important errors and most users are satisfied with the application.
Now on all platforms at 2GIS the same style.
If we compare it with the current version, we completely redesigned the design and simplified access to the most requested features.
2GIS learned to understand complex queries. We will also show “a cafe with wi-fi in the center” and where the nearest “round-the-clock pharmacy” is.
City data is downloaded and installed in the background. You can customize yourself: always download or only with wi-fi.
We show the best route, with possible transfers and exactly to the entrance. We build a route on the car taking into account traffic jams and real road loading. Therefore, in the morning the route from A to B can be one, and in the evening - another. For those traveling by public transport, we show a detailed route and suggest which metro car to take. Pedestrians will show short paths through the courtyards.
The profile in the new 2GIS can be combined with the profile on 2gis.ru. So it is more convenient, for example, to choose a company or place on the big screen, and build a route right away on a smartphone.
