Caution, WebMoney

The story is short, maybe someone will help.

Since 2004, I have been registered WM-purse, with it I successfully paid for hosting, domain registration, telephone, etc. One day I needed to throw money at him in the middle of the night, but in order for the payment to go through, I needed a personal certificate. Well, because I am not a supporter of the dissemination of personal information on the Internet, I naturally pointed out that the first thing that came to mind. Since then, everything worked fine for me - the system took the money and took it when necessary.

But recently there was a need to urgently pay for domain registration for a new project. I decided to do it with them, but when I tried to spend the amount on their account, I received the error "Invalid correspondent ID." Googling, I realized that I was blocked. In addition, the BL fell to zero. The support service sent me to arbitration, and in the arbitration they answered like this:

You are using WMVare
get a personal passport.

')
Apparently, an attempt to protect personal data using VMWare (these boobies can't even write the name of the program correctly) is considered something illegal or suspicious (http://habrahabr.ru/blog/infosecurity/43792.html).

Well, it may be that this embarrasses their security service, but how did they learn from this? Most likely they were “laid by” WebMoney Keeper. Those. The “phone payment program” scanned my system, determined that Windows was on a virtual machine and merged this data into the Internet! Heh. Spiteful. I wonder how much and how much more info the keeper sent to their site.

Well, in addition to everything, now I can’t get money poured into the system - I need a personal certificate for this. I will not be able to receive it, because I have entered incorrect data during registration - only the person whose data is listed in the system can receive a personal certificate. I cannot change them either - just register a new wallet, which means lost positive history and BL.

Findings:
1. WebMoney as a means of anonymous payments is not good - there is a chance to lose all the money
2. Personal information "leaks" to the webmoney server without your knowledge in an amount unknown to you
3. In one "beautiful" day, when you urgently need to pay someone money or get from someone, you can be in the block without notice.

Be careful.

PS: (in response to all comments at once) This post is not an attempt to complain about my “difficult fate”, this is a warning to those who did not get in, did not get in touch or did not know. I am sure, on Habré is full of such.
