Botnet owners were given too little time.

Last Tuesday, a Dutch court sentenced to imprisonment two hackers who organized a botnet network consisting of several million computers. Malefactors, young people of 20 and 28 years, collected personal data of users to use their eBay and PayPal accounts for online purchases.

One hacker was given two years, the second - 18 months. Both of them had already “rewound” their terms during the preliminary detention, so they would be released. In addition, they will have to pay very symbolic fines of 4 thousand and 9 thousand euros, writes CNet .

Experts believe that such a punishment is too soft. Experts consider "botnets" the most important threat to the Internet.
