Alexey Ragozin and Artyom Panasyuk on distributed load testing on jug.msk.ru

At the regular meeting of jug.msk.ru , which took place on January 20, 2016, traditionally in the office of CROC , Alexey Ragozin and Artyom Panasyuk presented the report “Distributed load testing in Java”. A brief story with details of the meeting below.

About speakers

Alexey Ragozin is a very active speaker and conference participant, and not only directly related to the Java programming language .

Below I tried to give the most comprehensive list of Alexey’s reports at the moment, for which videos and / or presentations are available. The purpose of the list is the most comfortable (in one click) the opportunity to watch a video or look through the presentation, if you are interested in something.

On SlideShare there are a few more presentations by Alexey, whose membership in specific seminars or conferences I found it difficult to determine.

Of the above reports, I watched five. Perhaps the one I liked most was “What should every Java developer know about networks?” Looked at the posts just before this meeting. The report is now available only to participants of the Joker 2015 conference, but is about to become available to everyone here .

Artyom works together with Alexey at Deutsche Bank , the location of the presentations of his reports is here (there is now one presentation).

About the report

Before the report and during the break, I was able to meet and talk a bit with the heroes of the previous meeting , Kirill and Alexander. Sasha's tweet with a photo of the scene from a slightly different angle than my photos. After the Moscow jug.msk.ru Alexander for the next (!) Day even managed to go to the meeting of the St. Petersburg JUG.ru.

Alexey's final preparations before the report. Parting words from Andrey Kogun.

The report consisted of two and a half parts with a break between them. Everything was told by Alexey (I assumed that the first part would do one, the second - the other), Artyom talked to the audience during the break and helped answer questions at the end of the report.

The first part was given a little theory and prerequisites for distributed load testing - PTDD (Performance Test Driven Development), test scripts and metrics, a stack of tools. It is told about the self-developed library NanoCloud . Much more about her, Alexey told half a year ago (June 4, 2015), also on jug.msk.ru , video part 1 and part 2 .

The second part included a review of various possible test scenarios with the display of code examples. This was followed by answers to questions from the audience. Finally, it was proposed to join the development of projects laid out on GitHub (links to them are given on the penultimate slide of the presentation).
