How to monitor UPS ippon with NUT and Zabbix

A long commentary on the post in which the author told how to monitor ippon smart winner using apcupsd. In my opinion this is not the right decision. A comment posed a question about NUT and I was surprised that no one told me about a working solution. We will fix it.

Part One: NUT

In fact, NUT is very much working with representatives of the Ippon smart winner family. And with InnovaRT also works.

The recipe looks simple. In ups.conf for smart winner add:

[ippon] driver = blazer_usb subdriver = phoenix port = auto vendorid = 06da productid = 0003 desc = "UPS SW"

Part 2: Zabbix

And zabbix is ​​properly used with LLD. I wanted to show my scripts, but, googling, I found the creation of good people - tyts . There are some minor differences from my decision, but their roots are about the same.

Offtop: When connecting additional batteries to a smart winner, be careful! Use a tester to check the correct output of the plus and minus on the connector of the battery and UPS. It is the tester, you do not need to trust the color marking, I had precedents. If that - usually 2 fuses on the board are lit, the UPS survives after that.
