How to arouse the interest of techies?

Hello!

We are working on a portal where we intend to assemble teams working on innovative projects and potential investors. For the teams, we will provide an opportunity to look for investments (+ help in bringing the project to this stage), and for investors, accordingly, a reliable investment of funds.

In the process of searching for future users, we are faced with an interesting phenomenon. We have no problems attracting teams from the IT field to the portal: the majority are interested in PR and positioning themselves as a strong and reliable team. But teams and individuals involved in robotics, chemistry, optics, radio engineering do not just do not want us to find investors and mentors, they don’t want to develop much of their work at all, to bring their level attractive for business.

What is the problem? How to find an approach to such people? What can they be interested in?
