Russian AI Cup: selected the best programmers of artificial intelligence

On December 13, the final of the fourth annual Russian AI Cup Programming Contest on Artificial Intelligence was completed. This time, more than 1,600 programmers demonstrated their skills, creating artificial intelligence for driving in the race for survival.

Under the terms of the championship, you could use one of the languages: C ++, Java, C #, Python, Ruby or Pascal. After a series of tense competitions, 50 of the strongest were defeated in the final. And according to the results of the last “race”, the golden prize was won by Alexander “ santa324 ” Santalov from Moscow. As a reward, he received a MacBook Pro. “Silver” and “Bronze” went to Anton “ Angor ” Gordienko from Moscow and Yuri “ SDil ” to Semyonov from St. Petersburg, they were awarded with MacBook Air ultrabooks. Contestants who ranked from fourth to sixth places were not left without prizes, they were awarded iPad Air 2 tablets. Congratulations to Denis “ ud1 ” Utkin, Sergey “ SKolotienko ” Kolotienko and Sergey “ Karkun ” Ivanov! However, it is too early for other participants to relax, and it is too early for us to sum up the final results of the championship. There is still a week of competitions in the Sandbox, and according to their results the best 6 participants will receive encouraging prizes from the partners of the event.

By the way, in anticipation of the next annual championship, you can introduce your children to programming by inviting them to participate in the online game “Program a Monster” on IT.Mail.Ru. It is necessary to create simple programs of the monster's movement with the help of arrows, so that he can pass the labyrinth with obstacles. At the same time, during the game it will be possible to find out what the commands in different programming languages ​​look like. This is a good training of algorithms for children and adolescents, which in the future may turn into a serious passion for programming, or even a profession. Perhaps in a couple of years, today's "monster masters" will compete in the championship.
