"Android 6.0 Marshmallow - a look of practice"

The first speaker was the founder and teacher of the Vesely Droid training center, a participant in GDG Moscow, and Android senior developer Mobile Dimensions LLC - Igor Tseglevsky. He devoted his speech to Android Marshmallow and all the new products that are waiting for mobile developers, as well as the practical side of the application of these new technologies.

“Android Design Library. Implementation of Material Design »

The second was made by Maxim Yudin, the Android timlid from HeadHunter. He spoke about the implementation of Material Design components in all current versions of Android, and also shared his “live” experience of implementing Material Design into an already finished application.

We listened to Maxim very, very carefully:

And, of course, did not forget to ask questions:

"Typical Mobile Application Architecture"

After a short coffee break, Dmitry Ustimov, an Android developer from Globus Nizhny Novgorod, made a speech. He talked about a very important topic for newbies: the typical construction of the application. That is, how to and how not to make applications.

"Java Concurrency in Android OC and features of the use of various tools for multithreading"

Following the “simple” theme of the correct architecture, Aleksandr Korshak, Team Lead from MERA, spoke with a much more complex and profound question. It was about the disadvantages and advantages of different approaches to multithreading.

"Creating native cross-platform Java applications using the Intel Multi OS Engine"

The last before dinner was made by Intel's leading developer, Alexander Peskov. He talked about the new development of the company, which allows you to create cross-platform applications directly in Android Studio. The topic caused so much resonance and a flow of questions that the guests completely forgot about lunch.

Mobile Vision API in Google Play Services

After the lunch break, Grigory Dzhanelidze from St. Petersburg, a developer from e-Legion, spoke. His report was devoted to the capabilities of Mobile Vision API, the library of "mobile view". It is designed to highlight objects in images: faces, barcodes and QR codes.

The scope is almost limitless - from augmented reality systems to automatic pattern recognition. We recommend reading this report to all who are not indifferent to this topic.

"Using the RetroFit library to create REST clients on the Android platform"

It's time to give the word to the girl! Anastasia Artemyeva, a developer from MERA and the only expert of the fair sex at the last conference, spoke about a simple and convenient way to create REST clients.

“Not loadLibrary is the same: alternative ways to load native libraries in Android”

The last speaker was Mikhail Lopatkin from Yandex, who shared with the audience his knowledge of the anatomy of elfs, well, and something else about working with NDK.

Afterparty

For dessert for the participants, “sitting by the fireplace,” that is, the so-called fireside chat, were put in, at which you could ask the experts any questions that the participants did not fail to take advantage of! Especially since the most active expected gifts from GDG.

The experts were pleased with each question:

And the conference participants have the opportunity to talk with specialists of this level:

After the conversation continued in an even less formal setting:

That's all! We are pleased that we managed to gather experts of this class and create a platform for communication of Google-technology lovers in another city in Russia.
