Those village from zero to one. Now and with reviews of companies
Hello to all! We share the news of the project, which was written about a year ago.
But first, we say thanks to each habrovchanin who supported those village ! For reviews, sharing in social networks and error messages - we appreciate that.
A year later, we updated the project and added new features.
A little about the results.
Over the year, 500 new reviews of cities have appeared in Tech Village. The map has become brighter at times, and already at a glance you can see where it’s good, and where it’s not. It's nice that they write from various places. We have collected reviews from all continents except Antarctica (it will not consider it a minus - you hardly want to work where even in summer it is -30).

Many have asked us to simplify the form of the response and remove some of the fields - then they will write more. But we did not do that to make the reviews as useful as possible.
And now the project news:
1. We decided on the positioning. Tech Village is a project for the IT community. Here they are looking for a city for living and permanent work. Therefore, we publish detailed reviews, where it is not just written “good” or “bad”, but given answers to exciting questions, for example, about the cost of housing and whether it is easy to find it.
2. Now in Those village not only about cities, but also about employers. Where there are game consoles, and where even the coffee machine is not installed - look for companies on the map . We already have Yandex, Avito, 2GIS, Wrike and others. And we are waiting for you, habrouser, with an opinion about the company in which you work.
3. All updates on the site are broadcast on Twitter , VKontakte and Facebook , so you can receive fresh reviews as they become available.
4. Build the IT community involved. Now in Those Village you can “check in” in a city or company, leaving a link to your profile for communication. So you show that you are ready to help with information a person who wants to move to your city or work in the same company.
5. Now you can ask questions of interest within the city.
Our project is still non-commercial, without advertising and paid services. We just make a modest contribution to the Russian-language IT.
