Opera conquers China
The next press release of the company Opera Software announces the conclusion of a partnership agreement with the Chinese company Haier, which is one of the leaders of the Chinese telephone industry and a popular brand among the people. According to the contract, Opera Mini will be pre-installed on Haier N81, N82 and N86 phones. Similarly, another well-known Chinese company, TCL, will preinstall Opera Mini on their A800 handsets.
It should be noted that in terms of the number of mobile phone owners, China ranks first in the world, and here it is not tens, but hundreds of millions of users. Therefore, it is not by chance that the press release says that since January 2007, the number of Opera Mini users in China has increased by 700%. Not less important information is the data obtained recently by the China Internet Network Information Center (CINIC), according to which our neighbors prefer to go to the Internet from mobile devices rather than from personal computers: currently the number of mobile Internet users has reached 44 million. For comparison - at the end of last year, this figure was only 17 million Chinese users.
