Social replacement for RSS reader
Implemented the idea of a social network for bloggers, which can be a substitute for an RSS reader.
The project ( Socialink ) works on a diggy engine (CMS PhPDug). Each user can add announcements of articles on his blog and vote for other people's announcements + comment on them. The best announcements are held on the main page.

There are more than 100 feeds in the RSS reader of many bloggers. It is not always possible to read everything that accumulates there. Moreover, even very intelligent bloggers sometimes write articles with a “sandwich” - some of them are interesting, some are empty. After all, you can’t subscribe to all thematic blogs and it’s likely that something really interesting was written on a blog whose feed you don’t subscribe to.
For this and need Social. It allows you to quickly find interesting from the entire blogosphere, as well as post your announcements and receive traffic from them.
When a person hits the main page, he sees approved articles (received more than 3 votes). The title of the article is a direct outgoing link to the material. Below the title is a brief description of the material. It is also possible to comment.
Recently added articles that have not yet received approval can be found on the “New” tab.
You can add your announcement. Registration on the project takes about 30 seconds (login, two times the password and e-mail). Adding your announcement takes less than a minute.
In many ways, the project is similar to existing newshunters (News2 and media2). However, these social networks are designed for news and announcements of articles from blogs there are buried as spam. And Socialink is focused on blogs.
The theme of blogs from which you can add announcements is not strictly defined. But the main backbone is blogs one way or another connected with the topic of IT, marketing and website promotion.
Any additional features are missing. Since Socialink is rather not a community, but a way to promote interesting material and find fresh interesting reading material.
