November 7 in Moscow, Hackathon: “Where does our money go? Civil technology analysis of government spending and government revenue. "

Probably, many of you know our non-commercial project, the government spending on monitoring all government contracts. From the very beginning we created this project:

Now we have collected millions of contracts and hundreds of thousands of organizations involved in obtaining state funds, however, our joy would be incomplete without everyone willing to use this data.

The audience of developers is one of our priorities and, therefore, we are holding a hackathon on November 7 devoted exclusively to one narrow but important topic in working with open data - this is the topic “Where does our money go?”

We are ANO Infoculture and a lot of volunteers who help in working with open data.
')

And of course, we will be happy if someone takes the data published by us earlier, but it’s not worth being limited to them. And you can take a completely different information and other data.

How to participate and learn more?

To participate you need to register by the link , and news and updates can be seen on a special page on Facebook

Where to get the data

1. API Government Fees
The developer wiki has a detailed description of how to work with our open API. And how to get any data from the database. Authorization is not required.

2. Dumps of the State Expenditure Database

We upload the entire base of suppliers and government procurements to the open access and on the special page “Open Data” . There are ZIPs with JSON'ami inside which you can immediately take to work.

3. Register of state subsidies

The Ministry of Finance of Russia publishes a special register of state subsidies in its portal budget.gov.ru. The registry itself is available at the short link rs.budget.gov.ru . It's amazing, but there is an API and the ability to get all the data in JSON. Very convenient service and data interesting.

4. Open data on the website of the Ministry of Finance and the budget system portal

Here the Ministry of Finance has laid out a lot of open data, and here a lot of data from the portal budget.gov.ru

Of course, everything is not limited to them and there are many sources of data on budgets and expenditures in Moscow, St. Petersburg and other regions - all of them are scattered across their official sites.

And in the near future, we are preparing a calculation of data at average prices and in this way it will be possible to find out how much a kilogram of potatoes or cars costs in a particular region or from a specific department.

Ideas

We also started collecting ideas for the hackathon, which we will offer to all who have not yet invented something of their own.
All ideas can be seen in a special project on github 'e

If you are not able to take part personally, but you want your idea to be realized - write a comment here or write me personally at ibegtin@infoculture.ru or immediately in github and we will grind this idea and give it to all participants.
