Greg Kroah-Hartman (Greg Kroah-Hartman) in the discussion list of developers
published an appeal to the manufacturers of computer devices with a proposal to develop for them drivers for OC Linux for free.
All that is required from manufacturers is to provide a specification of devices or to give an email address to an engineer who can answer the questions of interest. In case manufacturers fear a wide spread of information about the specification, they can work with the Linux Foundation as an intermediary.
For its part, the developer community guarantees full gratuitousness, full-fledged work of the driver on any computer where Linux can be installed, and the inclusion of the new driver in the OS distribution kits.
