I have long been tormented by the question - what to do with the keyboard on a stationary laptop. In fact, it is needed there exclusively as a lid for the monitor - the main keyboard is bought separately in one form or another. At least I see such a picture in the offices enough - a laptop lies and a keyboard lies in front of it. So maybe it would be better to initially make laptops with a detachable bluetooth keyboard? Some manufacturers think like me, but apparently the demand does not meet expectations.
Back in 2006, DELL released one interesting laptop, the
Dell XPS M2010 (You can watch a
video about this model to get a better idea of it). It seemed to me that such a form factor should become quite popular among working laptops. I especially liked the way the keyboard was made in it - it can be used as a regular keyboard on a working computer, and as a portable device it serves as a “cover” for the monitor. It is possible that shortcomings such as design and too much weight did not allow this model to conquer its pedestal, but why have I not heard of any similar laptop since then?
Another way is Logitech - they produce a stand for laptops. In addition, some of them have keyboards, including wireless ones.
Alto ™ Cordless seems to me quite a convenient device, as well as wireless folding keyboards for handhelds. It can be transported in assembled form with you, and when deployed it greatly improves the usability. For my taste, though she lacks a mouse in the kit. In any case, to find such a thing in stores is not an easy task. Apparently, there is no demand for it either.
So what's the deal? Maybe I'm some kind of crazy, I want wireless detachable keyboards, when everyone else is completely satisfied with the keyboards that go in laptops?
