Once again, withdrawing money from an ATM of one of the Ukrainian banks, I paid attention to an informational message, which asked to make sure that the PIN-keyboard corresponds to the image on the screen. Having checked the image, I realized that the keyboards are different.

I examined the PIN-keyboard in the ATM and making sure that it was not an invoice, I took the money. It was the ATM of
PJSC Bank Petrocommerce-Ukraine . It turns out that they don’t know what their ATM keyboards look like, or they differ from ATM to ATM.

Later, I began to study such informational messages at other ATMs and realized that this is not a problem of a particular bank.
Also, they do not know what their PIN-keyboards look like in
Oschadbank JSC:
They do not know what their card readers look like in
ProCredit Bank PJSC :

And finally,
PJSC Privatbank simply discredited the very idea of combating skimming with only one type of its ATMs:

In addition to the fact that banks themselves are misleading their customers and simply force them to ignore informational messages about checks of PIN keyboards and card readers, they also increase the number of actions necessary for customers to withdraw in order to withdraw money.
It turns out that this is not a fight with skimming, but its imitation.
