About Maximus and Lebedev.

The other day, reading Donald Norman, I found a paragraph that hurt me for living from the inside of my skin. The book is called "Design of familiar things." Imagine my surprise when scrolling through the chapter on the evolution of keyboards, I found the following text: "... Maybe someday the key designation will be done using a miniature display located on each of them, and changing the type of keyboard will become a trifling matter ..."

It is worth noting that the book was written and published a long time ago, it predicted such elements as the "Recycle bin" on the desktop and the digital buttons to turn off the computer. Perhaps it was then that a great idea came to the novice designer published in a recent article : “... Therefore, you should always do your own. So I decided to publish an idea that I came up with a long time ago, while still in school. This is a keyboard in which small screens show what will happen. And then something happened that I did not expect ... ".

I believe in coincidence, and perhaps two-thirds of the postulates on which Lebedev Studio works are the result of evolution, not of borrowing from this book. I also have sincere hope in me that in the future the highly respected Lebedev will be visited by thoughts that are so useful in everyday life.
