Director of the Information Analytical Center under the Presidential Administration Oleg Proleskovsky suggests introducing content filtering of materials from the Internet, that is, blocking access to undesirable resources in Belarus using special filters. This official
said in an interview with the journal “Belaruskaya Dumka”, published in the May issue.
“In terms of organizational measures, it is necessary to talk about the so-called content filtering. That is, about software that allows users or administrators of local networks to block access from computers controlled by them to sites that contain information that conflicts with current legislation or contradicts public morality standards, ”the head of the Information and Analytical Center believes. .
According to him, the state regulation of the Internet should include a complex of legislative and organizational measures. “At the legislative level, it is necessary first of all to strengthen the responsibility for disseminating information on the Internet that is illegal in nature. If such information appeared on a website, the administrator, the owner of this resource, and the provider should be responsible for this, ”stressed Oleg Proleskovsky.
