DimP - player with direct video manipulation

Looking through the articles on techCrunch, I found one such note about an interesting video player.

DimP - player direct video manipulation, allows users to move objects captured in the video, directly on the screen, thereby scrolling the video forward or backward without using the scroll bar. This allows you to track the movement of various objects by simply moving objects on the screen from point A to point B, which not only looks fascinating, but also allows the viewer to find the right moment in the video "at least twice as fast as before."

In a statement submitted by the developers of the University of Toronto, said that the method of the player is as follows:

1) it automatically analyzes the video, and then
2) a new technology comes into play, called “relative control of the video sequence”, which allows the viewer to manipulate the video sequence by moving the necessary objects along the appropriate visual trajectory.
