SMSter.ru - microblogging with a focus on mobile users
Probably there are no more Habralyuds left who would not hear about Twitter . One can argue for a long time about why it is needed and who uses it, but the facts speak for themselves - this service has an impressive army of fans.
Attempts to repeat the success of Twitter in RuNet have already been made, but it does not seem that they succeeded. After analyzing the shortcomings of the Russian-speaking clones of Twitter and carefully studying Twitter itself, we developed the SMSter.ru service.
The main features of SMSter:

- focus on mobile users. In addition to the SMS interface itself (by the way, since messages are received to the Russian number, they are 2 times cheaper than messages on Twitter, at least for MTS and Beeline subscribers) there is a WAP interface wap.smster.ru that works on all phones with WAP 2.0 and providing almost all the features that the web version has (unlike Twitter, where they are cut down; and not all phones perceive m.twitter.com).
- in connection with this, the user is linked not to the nickname, like on Twitter, but to the phone. Nick user may not be.
- SMS-notifications also like on Twitter come completely free of charge, and (at least for now) without any restrictions.
- integration with Google Talk has already been implemented, and in the near future the API will be published and the gates will be bolted to other messengers.
- and most importantly - we are not going to stop! The plans of the introduction of the site, posting photos via MMS, groups of friends and more.
