Many of the respected Habr's readers who are interested in Firebird know that last year the documentation on the Firebird SQL language in Russian version 2.5 was released. Documentation creation was sponsored by the
Moscow Exchange (yes, the one about the ruble exchange rate we hear every day) - as a platinum sponsor and one of the largest Firebird users in Russia, and
IBSurgeon /
IBase representing Firebird in Russia.
But the work did not end there:
translation and proofreading of the documentation into English, German and Portuguese began. Helen Borri, author of the famous book on Firebird, is the editor of the English edition. We expect the publication of the English version in October of this year, the Portuguese and German versions - at the beginning of next year.
At the same time, more than 1000 corrections and additions were made in the Russian original documentation of 2.5 (thanks to Denis Simonov, editor of the Russian version), and a lot of work was done on the documentation for version 3.0.
