Microsoft has released a major update for Windows RT

In July, we wrote about the information that appeared about the release of a large update for Windows RT 8.1 (Update 3). At the time of that publication, no information was available on the content of such an update. It was planned for the release of a new desktop OS, Windows 10. Unlike conventional Windows 8.1, which is designed for desktop architecture, its ARM edition called Windows RT 8.1 did not receive updates to Windows 10, since it was not envisaged.



Yesterday, Microsoft published this important update for Windows RT owners KB3033055 ( Update for Windows RT 8.1 feature improvement ), which is available for download through the Windows Update Center. One of the improvements was the appearance of the Start menu similar to the one that appeared in Windows 10. The released update was the last major update for this OS.
