Airport instead of home

A year ago on Habré they wrote about Japanese homeless people who chose Internet cafes as a permanent place of residence. But the latest news from Britain showed that the British homeless surpassed the Japanese. In London Heathrow Airport alone over the past three months 111 people have been found who have chosen the waiting rooms as a permanent place to sleep. Here, for example, one of them - Eram Dar.

Eram Dar - living at the airport

Yes, they are not like ordinary vagrants. It is rather the highest caste of the homeless. The fact is that the police and airport security objects to this practice. "Living in the port" are trying to figure out, so that they, willy-nilly, have to maintain a decent look and encrypt with all their might. They keep their belongings in suitcases and bags on wheels, as are passengers. In the morning, “terminal workers” wash and shave in the toilets. Then some of them leave the airport to return in the evening, while others, like Eram Dar, simply walk along it.

Workers and night cleaners, according to Eram, often know vagrants in person, but do not betray them out of compassion. In general, of course, it is difficult not to guess that there is a “terminal worker” in front of you - if you have been seeing him for a year in a waiting room for a year.

So if you're in Heathrow - look carefully around. Perhaps you will be able to calculate them, these elegant homeless people of the 21st century.
