Freelancers are not for 5 rubles or statistics

This is a continuation of yesterday's post about designers, but rather some statistics.

I conducted a small experiment in order to identify the level of work and the level of requests from freelancers.

After the publication of the proposal, Pro responded first, which is not surprising.

Many do not read the sentence and post the prepared template, i.e. I asked to write one thing, they wrote a completely different thing, we exclude those immediately.

Let's start with the pros.

Of all the proposals really professional work in 10-15% of freelancers. And they offer very real prices for their work.

Professional with a good portfolio
$ 300 for the layout
$ 25 per hour

Freelancers with Pro account and normal average portfolio
Bend prices like professionals, i.e. $ 200-400 and $ 20 per hour

Freelancers with a poor portfolio (poor quality of work, but some have good ideas)
from 70 $ :) ala school level
One of them asked for $ 30 per hour

There were also several students ( Email of the form * year_birth@*.ru )
Some try to bend good prices, some do everything for a penny, creating competition for professionals. But in general, all schoolchildren have a zero portfolio.

Bottom line: there was one freelancer with a decent quality of work and with a decent price. The average customer would not be able to calculate it in a heap of proposals and perhaps would give the order to the designer, whose portfolio consists of terrible collages, for a price in the region of $ 100.

PS The professional was the loser. The customer was the loser.
