Tonight I returned from Moscow, where I attended three conferences at once - SQA, PM Days and PHPconf. At the conference, there were a lot of interesting reports about which they will probably write more than once, but I want to share some funny observations.
In the intervals between the reports, all those present could go out to the hall, where they were waited by delicious buns, milk, tea and coffee. For the latter, five thermoses were installed on the tables. Of course, for more than two hundred participants of the conference, they were clearly not enough and at each conference they solved this problem in their own way as best they could.
On the first day, testers drank coffee
Participants applied the load testing technology, leaning on the buns with coffee and occasionally telling the waiters about the fall of the thermoses.
On the second day, project managers drank coffee
The comrades showed tremendous organization, lining up in a long queue to only one of the five thermoses, demonstrating their unbending intent to stick to the plan for spilling coffee. The remaining thermoses were used by programmers who knew nothing about the plan.
And finally, on the third day, the developers appeared.
At first, as testers, programmers piled on all available thermoses, but very quickly applied a circuit with a load balancer, while giving the fellows their loot cookies to outsource. By this they once again proved the undoubted effectiveness of the agile methodology.
About another story in which testers, managers and programmers took turns building the same plane maybe next time :)
