Office as Platform issue 4: Uber, PayPal, Boomerang and Evernote as examples of new type applications

As part of our “ Office as a Platform ” column, we continue to acquaint you with new opportunities offered by the modern model of applications for Office for business and ordinary developers. Today we will talk about application examples from such large companies as Uber, PayPal, Evernote and others.
Thanks to the new model of extensions for office applications and all versions of Outlook, including mobile and web versions, new scenarios for the use of the office suite have become available to developers and users around the world.
Uber - if you need to arrive on time for a meeting and you want to remember to order a taxi, then using the Uber application you can easily add a reminder to the event in Outlook that will be displayed on your phone. You only need to confirm the taxi and wait for it to arrive.

PayPal - with the help of the Office application from PayPal, you can easily send money to your friends, loved ones and relatives via Desktop Outlook or Outlook on the Web (for Exchange) and will soon be available on Outlook.com.
Evernote - a popular note taking tool has become even more powerful with the new Office integration. You can create letters in Outlook and add notes to them from your Evernote account in a convenient and beautiful way! Available to users of Outlook, Outlook for the Web and will soon be available in Outlook.com.
