Plans for PyCon-2015

Last year, 5 foreign and 15 Russian speakers spoke. Videos and presentations of last year’s reports are available here , photos are posted there. And here is the Habrovsky report on PyCon-2014.

This year's program is being formed. She is preparing a program committee, which included python-developers from different cities, different companies and with different experiences, so we are sure that the reports will be useful and interesting. Prepare the program: Andrey Svetlov (Python Core Developer, engineer at DataRobot, organizer of Pycamp / Pycon Ukraine), Andrey Vlasovskih (developer of IDE PyCharm at JetBrains), Roman Imankulov (developer of Doist Inc.), Dmitry Ovchinnikov (Senior Software Engineer at Wargaming.net) , Danila Shtan (head of development at E96.ru), Mikhail Korobov (Python-developer, speaker of many Python conferences).

We are already filling out documents for two foreign speakers: Benjamin Peterson flies to us from San Francisco, and Gael Varoquaux from Paris.

Researcher at the National Research Institute INRIA in France, library developer scikit-learn, joblib, Mayavi and nilearn, member of PSF Gael Varoquaux will tell PyCon how to create an advanced data-processing environment for the budget. A developer of CPython, an active participant in numerous Python projects, including PyPy and py.tes, Benjamin Peterson will give a talk on the topic “Python Packaging Progress”.

Abstracts can be read here . Negotiations with foreign speakers continue.

They also confirmed participation as speakers: Andrey Svetlov (Kiev, Python Core Developer, engineer at DataRobot), Andrey Vlasovskikh (St. Petersburg, IDE PyCharm developer at JetBrains, author of funcparserlib and iterpipes libraries), Grigori Petrov (Moscow, technical evangelist at VoxImplant ), Alexander Sibiryakov (Prague, Python-developer at Scrapinghub), Ilya Beda (Krasnoyarsk, team leader bro.agency), Andrey Soldatenko (Kiev, Python Backend Developer at Toptal and QA Automation Lead at Wargaming.NET), Alexander Shvets (Moscow, product director at Marilyn), Alexander Kozlovsky and Alexey Malashkevich (St. Petersburg, the authors are object-relats ion mapper Pony ORM).

In addition to reports from the speakers, there will be master classes and lightning talks (be sure to speak!).

The format of the conference remained the same: Pitonists leave for two days outside the city (30 km. From Ekaterinburg), during the day they listen to reports, participate in master classes, and in the evening have fun and relax in nature.

An important part of the conference is after-party, and this year we will do prepati: the participants, who arrived on the evening of September 17, will get to know and chat in an informal setting before the conference. At the very afterparty on September 18 there will be an evening bonfire with songs and chat, board games and entertainment from sponsors. In addition, we plan to make a barbecue on the street with pilaf, sausages and beer. We promise, this time there will not be so many mosquitoes :)
