In this post I would like to share the results of the research of payment methods that users prefer when shopping online. This study covered more than a hundred payment methods and thousands of sites connected to the Wallet One
United Paycheon payment aggregator in Russia. We can immediately state that the main trend in 2015 will be the growing popularity of online banking. Over the past year, the number of buyers who prefer this method has increased by 5.55%.
The most popular way is still to pay by credit card, although the number of transactions, compared with the same period in 2014, decreased by 5.86%. Also, the percentage of users who prefer e-money payments has decreased by 4.47%.
Specialists of the company, which conducted the study, explain such results by the fact that earlier many chose to pay with electronic money only in order not to share the data of their card with unfamiliar online stores. With the development of online banking, this need has disappeared. For this reason, online banking is growing, and bank cards and electronic money are falling. In addition, banks are making a lot of effort to make their personal accounts as convenient as possible.

Numerous online stores offering payment only with cards and electronic money should pay attention to the growth in the number of users who have chosen payment terminals that are most in demand in the regions.
Mobile payments are also growing, but you should not forget that payment via SMS is used mainly with a low check amount.
