Until the launch of Google Maps in 2005, Internet maps were used exclusively to get directions or to search for several nearby stores. So we can safely say that the launch of Google Maps and, accordingly, the
Google Maps API , really changed the idea of unlimited possibilities for building geographical applications and mashups, and it was not difficult to predict further development, it only remained to observe and use Internet maps. When
Google Earth was launched, in general, the vision of the world was turned upside down, people were able to fly around the planet at unreal speed and still view high-resolution images. But, nevertheless, until now, there was no solution for creating your own 3D web applications based on Google Earth, as it has been practiced for several years with Google Maps.
But that was until today.
Today, Google has released the
Google Earth Browser Plugin , which means that you can now use Google Earth from a browser, without installing it on your desktop. To install the plugin, you need to get the Google Maps
API key . Before you
download the plugin , be aware that it is installed only in Firefox and Internet Explorer browsers. Also, the plug-in uses a lot of memory (about 100 MB only for viewing after the initial download).

All you may need is in the extensive JavaScript API, with which you can control the camera, draw markers, add layers and interact with Google Maps. After uploading the
KML file, we add and import 3D models from the Internet. The possibility of 3D rendering on a web page is awesome. Build your 3D Google Sky mashups by simply putting your content on various planets, stars or galaxies, adding just one line of code!
This means that now you can build your own Google Earth applications, and only you, the site developer, define the functionality.

Naturally, creating projects that require connecting modules, developers must think through a competent architecture in advance, and there should be no issues with the load. To push this functionality anywhere is just stupid and unjustified, there are many other solutions, and if, for example, you need to create the illusion of flight or imitation of the rotation of the planet, then of course this is what you need.

examples presented by Google really captured, on one of them you can see how, in a game form, at a certain point on the planet, they drill through the earth. Fantasy! Something similar is done in reality by the Japanese.
Microsoft, by the way, also offers a 3D plug-in called Virtual Earth 3D, which is part of their
Live Maps map service.
According to Google developers, their goal is to open the entire core of Google Earth, to enable everyone to build their own world.
