Joker 2015: News July 16-27, 2015 - new speakers and reports

Since the announcement of Joker 2015, almost two weeks have passed in the habr. In this post I will briefly talk about what's new with us during this time. And we will talk, as usual, about the content - the new announced speakers and their reports.

NEW SPEAKERS AND THEIR TOPICS
')

jemerov
Dmitry Zhemerov is a veteran of JetBrains, a man who had a hand in IntelliJ IDEA, RubyMine, PyCharm and at one time headed the procedure for transforming IDEA from a simple IDE into a platform for writing IDE for different languages. JetBrains managed to work as a developer, then CTO, then went to Google for a year. A few months ago, he returned to JetBrains, where he headed the Kotlin language support team in the IDE. Together with Sveta Isakova she is writing the first book on Kotlin, “Kotlin in Action”, which will be published, apparently, next year.

At the conference, Dmitry will tell you which parts of the IntelliJ IDEA platform are currently being rewritten to Kotlin, why they were chosen, what problems the developers are having at this very rewriting and what profit Kotlin receives from this rewriting project.

By the way, literally from day to day we will publish a large (hourly!) Video interview with Dmitry. There will be about JetBrains, about IDEA, about Kotlin and about Google - so wait for the interesting!

borisov
Yevgeny Borisov is one of the best Russian-speaking speakers, always in the top at any Java-conference at which he speaks. Master of Spring and Design Patterns, a professional Java trainer, to the heap is also a notable KVNschik.

This time Zhenya will tell an extended version of the Spring Puzzlers report. This report includes a lot of very intricate and funny puzzles about Spring taken from real life. The knowledge gained will help students learn the subtleties of Spring-a and protect themselves from all sorts of mystical bugs. This report, unlike all other puzzlers, is very practical. A lot of live code taken from real projects will be written and parsed.

And this report is a continuation of the famous report of Eugene "Spring the Ripper." Who has not seen the "ripper" - immediately look! Definitely mast si.

zinovyev
Alexey Zinoviev is a specialist in Java and in large columns for which he is currently writing a Ph.D. thesis. Alexey tried a huge number of different data storage systems, including the most modern NoSQL type Mongi. We will talk about them, or rather, about what kind of storage solution to choose in which cases. In the end, Alexey will give the listeners iron arguments for using this or that tool.

frankel
Nicolas Frankel is the architect of hybris, a major e-commerce solution provider. This year, Nicholas will give a talk on how Spring Boot helps in DevOps.

simonis
Volker Simonis is an SAP engineer from the JVM Technology Group team, an OpenJDK contributor and reviewer, a project lead for the OpenJDK port on PowerPC / AIX. Will come to perform on Joker for the second time. Fluent in Russian, but always reported in English.
By the way, a year ago, Volker blew our brains, debuting hot spots on the fly

The past Joker had an interesting feature - there were many reports about JVM, baytkod and other low-level hardcore. This year, the program turns out to be a little more even, without such a bias, although there will also be a lot of reports about the intestines. This time, Volker will talk about final. There will be both well-known things and jokes with Unsafe. For a sweet, Volker will -XX:TrustFinalNonStaticFields how the experimental -XX:TrustFinalNonStaticFields flag works -XX:TrustFinalNonStaticFields

Let's summarize some results. At the moment we have announced 15 speakers, some of whom will make two reports each. Thus, the grid is already filled by three quarters, and there are literally 7-8 empty spaces left in it. Half of the reports we have already announced on the site, the list will be slowly added.

Traditionally, ask questions in the comments - I will try to respond promptly.

All information about the conference is on its website .
