Qwika: wiki search engine

Although public search engines are suitable for the absolute majority of tasks, there is still room for specialized search engines on the market. One such alternative project is Qwika , which is created for indexing UGC content, including a wiki. At the moment, the search index has almost reached 22 million pages, and the main part of it is the contents of Wikipedia. Not only English-language pages are drawn from there, but also content in other languages, including Russian.

The Qwika system is convenient to use to quickly switch between languages when viewing the pages of the Encyclopedia of the People, as well as to translate foreign articles into your native language. For example, the search results for [Russia] show not only the corresponding article from the Russian Wikipedia, but also the translated article from the English-language Wikipedia, as well as articles about Russia from other encyclopedias.

In addition to Wikipedia, the system indexes about 1,100 other wiki sources. Sometimes there you can find information that is not available even through Google.
