Chrysler has released a security update for the Jeep Grand Cherokee (WK2) models, which closes a number of vulnerabilities. Vulnerabilities can be used by attackers to gain remote access to the machine. Apparently, the update is available only to customers (owners of cars) Chrysler in the United States, Canada and France. The radio / navigation system with firmware Uconnect 8.4AN AM / FM / BT / Access / NAV is subject to updating.

“Remote access” means the potential of attackers using vulnerabilities to remotely access the steering or remotely open the doors of the machine using the Uconnect software for 2014 and 2015 models.
The following updates are available. It can be seen that in addition to security vulnerabilities (
Improved Radio protection to reduce systems ), the update also fixes other bugs in the software.
