Bichrome interface in the new browser assembly Vivaldi 1.0.228.3

Hello!

Just yesterday, we released Vivaldi TP4 , and today we delight you with a new weekly build. Just in case, I will explain that there is no confusion. TP4 is to some extent a stable build that can be used by those who don’t want to mess around every week with a new test version. But, of course, in TP4 there will be no new features that will be added to the weekly assemblies. In other words, you can use either TP4 or weekly assemblies, or even both versions at the same time - they are installed separately from each other, with different profiles.

Now back to today's release of Vivaldi 1.0.228.3. As you can see, the build number is quite different from yesterday's one, which indicates the amount of work done. And we, as promised, do not stop adding new interesting features. Today you will get acquainted with one of such, we hope, successful finds.

We have not yet come up with the name of this function (your suggestions are welcome), but in fact this is a lightweight interface, in which there is nothing “superfluous”. Use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + F11 or Ctrl + ⌘F11 (for Mac users) to get something like this:

As you can see, in this mode, almost all elements of the browser interface are hidden, leaving a minimal set. In this case, all the usual work with the browser can be done using a combination of shortcuts and mouse gestures. Yes, and at the same time it is possible to change the size of the window and place it anywhere on the screen - which the full-screen mode cannot allow in principle. In general, in our opinion, minimalist, convenient, creative. And what do you think?

This is all new for now. The rest of the work is hidden, as they say, "under the hood." We again corrected a lot of errors that you reported to us, improved the work of existing functions, in general - the usual routine work to create a convenient and stable browser.

That's all for today. We remind you that the weekly assemblies are test, so do not forget to backup important data. You can report any errors found at the same address .
