Google has reached a new level in promoting its offspring - Material Design. Released version 1.0.0 of the open-source Material Design Lite project.

Curiously, MDL is a standalone project that is not tied to the Polymer framework. At the same time, Google notes that the library is a modern interpretation of Polymer Paper Elements .

MDL is written in Sass, using the BEM methodology, and includes many components and, thanks to the responsive grid, works well on various devices. More information about the library can be found on the project website .
