Corporate gift to customers

Many companies on the threshold of holidays (especially Happy New Year) think about what to give to their customers? This question would seem to have passed millions of companies for decades to solve, but each time ... as in the first class.
I want to share with you (six months before the New Year) how we solved this task in the 2007/2008 New Year. And to give a couple of general recommendations, how, using modern technology, you can "not be like everyone else . "

Rule number 1. Your corporate gift customer must see every day

You can give a trite rug, mug, pen and stuff. But it does not suit us, because does not comply with rule number 2.

Rule number 2. Your corporate gift should not be the same as the others.

Hence the conclusion - always invent gifts on your own (look for creative employees, let their creativity work).
Example: In our case, we came up with a creative applied 3 finds:
1. Combined the calendar and the certificate that no one has done before us;
2. Content for the calendar was about calendars (World calendars) (the Wiki helped here a lot);
3. “Significant” dates of the month were not standard, but ridiculous, such as “Winnie the Pooh's Birthday” or “KVN Day” (again, it was not without Wiki);
')
Rule 3. Interest in the gift must be heated throughout the year.

What is it about? No matter how strong the emotions of your client are in December / January, when he was presented with your wonderful mattress, by the summer he already looks at him as something standard.
Example: Loose-leaf calendar saves, but that did not seem enough to us. That's what came to mind. At the end of the year (after cutting off all 12 sheets with months), the client will only have a certificate on the wall with springs on the bottom. What to do? It is necessary to insert it into the frame. Actually the last page is the client's invitation to visit a special page on the Internet, where you can order a free frame (also regarded as a corporate gift) and watch the super video: youtube.com/watch?v=a-AYv5F2O2Q

I would like to hear your brilliant thoughts and successful examples of corporate gifts, and especially those that are somehow related to IT (at least indirectly). Do not take off your karma much, do not scold, if you do not like the article, just write in the comments :)
