Started Golden Site 2015
Hi, Habr! Last year we restarted the oldest competition of Internet projects in Russia - the Golden Site (it has been awarded since 1997). We spent rebranding, made a new site, new nominations and a whole lot more. As a result, more than 1000 sites were submitted to the competition, and at the awards ceremony we presented prizes in almost 60 nominations. Received in the process a huge amount of feedback from participants and viewers, positive emotions and a sense of belonging to the oldest contest project Runet.
Almost a year has passed, and now we are opening the acceptance of applications for the Golden Site 2015 .

This year we decided not to stop there, and to do even better. We took into account all the wishes, the bugs that were last year. We will tell a little about these changes.
Firstly, Fedor Virin became the next chairman of the jury of the competition. With it, we once again perekolbili list of nominations - and now they better cover all the variety of topics. In addition to the basic nominations, we introduced "gold categories" (of a general nature like "Best UI / UX"), there will be prizes for regional projects and several grand prizes.
Secondly, we are trying to make the most honest and transparent competition sites on the market. Last year we opened all the votes of all the jury members for all the works. None of the similar contests / awards has done this before. This year, of course, we will do it again.
And to enhance the effect, we introduced two pools of jury members. One (mainly representatives of studios and agencies) votes for all works. Except its own, of course. And the second pool - compiled specifically for each of the topics - and will only vote on it, made up of specialized experts (full lists of the jury are now in the filling stage, we will publish them somewhere in a week).
When calculating the score for each work, we will reject one lower and one upper score - this will exclude / reduce the likelihood that one particular representative of the jury unfairly mined / misjudged your work.

- Submission of works will go until September 20, but until July 15, you can submit your projects at a reduced price.
- The jury and popular vote will be held from September 21 to October 8, and at the end of October there will be an award ceremony and an elephant handout.
