London and New York connected by optical channel

Few people know about the existence of a secret tunnel deep under the Atlantic. In May 2008, more than a century after the start of work, the ambitious project was completed! At both ends of the tunnel, a sophisticated optical device called the Electroscope was installed, which allowed the residents of London and New York to miraculously see each other through the thickness of the Earth.
