"Digital Escape" - another way to cyberspace

© Designers from FROG Design have developed just such a face mask that can replace what you saw, heard or felt with your nose for any other sensation.

The future will not be as beautiful as we think. Increased pollution, overpopulation, poverty and climate change - the impact of society on the Earth reaches a boiling point. And although we can work to slow the onset of these disasters, they cannot be reversed. The question is how do we live with the problems we yourself and created?

I did not want to make any predictions - but if we fail to do more to reduce today's cultural, climatic and economic dangers, the future may not be so pleasant. Natural disasters will become more frequent, society will become even more stratified, diplomacy more unpredictable (variable).

Technologies can be used to combat this dangerous situation - as well as help get out of it. We already use mobile devices to distribute movies, music and other entertainment, using mobile devices we “run away” from real life. Increased power and emerging technologies allow you to store entire computing systems inside portable devices, providing greater immersion in personal media data. In an alarming future, these devices will offer a new dimension - a virtual layer that can be used as a shell to the dangerous world around. Being between the owner and the world around the device will become a virtual drug that allows you to see the world better - at least for a moment. The device acts as a mask between the user and the outside world, expressing the integrity of the interaction between man and machine. The device makes the transition between the perception of the world as it is and the way we would like it to be. The mask reverses our view of the “normal” world for us now.

Wearing a mask, smells, sounds and even air quality will be simulated to completely recreate the perception. The expressions of the faces of those who wear the device will be recognized and displayed on the screen in the form of avatars visible to others, also living under the protection of the mask.
