From the middle of May, developers of mobile applications for iOS were forced to disable authorization via VKontakte at the request of Apple, or use a “crutch” - pull request. The argument of the Apple moderators was simple:

22.4 Apps that will be rejected
"Applications that allow illegal file distribution will be rejected."
In response to the developers of the mobile poster
Yeed - an application that uses, in addition to Facebook, Google+ and email, authorization via vKontakte, the iTunes Connect moderator referred to illegal VKontakte music content, which can be accessed through the authorization screen of this social network ):
“Your app falls into a category of apps that are often used for the app Store Review Guidelines. Specifically, the app provides access to streaming social network (music) posted on VKontakte social network.
We've attached screenshot (s) for your reference. “

“Your application falls into the category of applications that are often used for illegal file sharing, which does not comply with the App Store Application Selection Rules. In particular, the application provides access to streaming media content (music) hosted on the social network VKontakte. We have attached a screenshot (s) for review “.
The moderator declined the update, attaching screenshots of the authorization screen via vkontakte with reference to paragraph 22.4 of the
App Store Review Guideline , which prohibits the illegal distribution of files:

Authorization is the only vKontakte API function that the application uses. Such failures began to come to different iOS developers a month before WWDC-2015, where the streaming Apple Music platform was announced - a completely logical and legal step by the company.
After a request from the journalist of the publication AIN.ua, the social network responded promptly to the problem. Literally 15 minutes after the
publication of the publication, the head of the VKontakte press service Georgy Lobushkin told the publication that the company took measures and fixed the problem for its part:
“In the future, developers of third-party applications should not face this problem.” The question was completely removed from the agenda, which was confirmed by iOS developers of several teams, the next day:
“Corrected, check now. There is no need to update the SDK, ” wrote Mikhail Boldov, Product Manager, VKontakte Mikhail Boldov in the GitHub discussion thread.
Later, Georgy Lobushkin
commented on the situation to Zuckerberg Call. “We, for our part, promptly corrected the problem as soon as we heard about it. Therefore, in the future, developers of third-party applications, having authorization through "VKontakte", will not encounter problems when passing moderation in the App Store. “
VKontakte is not the first time gets "under the distribution" for illegal media content, and here is the upcoming release of the new streaming platform Apple Music ...
However, the problem is solved. On the results of the next application update with the restored authorization vKontakte I will write in the comments.
Special thanks to AIN.ua journalists, who helped hundreds of developers quickly solve the problem.
