Apple responded to the "month of bugs"

The first software update this year appeared on the Apple site, covering a security hole in the company's products. Specifically, it is designed to combat the vulnerability in QuickTime, which can be used by attackers to gain access to the victim’s computer after visiting the site with a special code on it.

Such updates are issued regularly and usually are not of great interest to the public: they are installed through an automatic update mechanism and are traditionally not accompanied by wordy explanations.

But this patch has a feature — it was released for a vulnerability that was discovered during the Month of Apple Bugs campaign, which we already mentioned .

Apple's plans to respond to other MOAB research results are not reported, but this first case has already caused positive reviews among Mac users.
